Mr. Isaiah J. Harris of Hogansville, Ga. passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Warm Spring Medical Center. He was born in Meriwether County on January 13, 1949 to the late Mr. Walter Scott and Rosie Lee Harris. He was better known to everyone as “Buddy”.

Preceding him in death one Sister Mrs. Linda Johnson; two Brothers Mr. James Harris and Mr. Thomas Harris; and one Granddaughter Ashley Ferrell.

Isaiah Harris joined White Plains United Methodist Church at an early age where he was a faithful member. He served as a dedicated member of the Lay Speaking Ministries and various organizations within the church.

Isaiah and Missie Rhodes were joined in Holy Matrimony on April 11, 1969. He was later drafted into the United States Marine Corp, in 1969, where he served for two years and was honorary discharged where he received several medals. He worked for various police departments for several years before retiring from the William Carter Company, Hogansville, Ga. in 2012.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his wife Missie Harris; one Daughter Fredia Harris; three Sons Roderick Malcolm, Min Wendell (Min Valerie) Harris, and Derrick Harris; eight Grandchildren Lamorris Bennett, Delisha Harris, Derrick D. Harris, Adrian Harris, Biannca Bolton, Ayanna Harris, Kourtine Harris, and Aliyah Harris; three sister Martha Reeves, Sherry (Clarence) Dean, and Phyllis (Curtis) Williams; three brothers Ricky (Yolanda) Harris, Michael Harris, and San (Cassandra) Harris; two brothers-in-law John (Evelena) Rhodes, Napoleon Rhodes; three sister-in -laws Susie Stegall, Frances Dixson, and Diana Daniel.
