His Life

JamesA. Morgan was born June 18, 1928 in Dadeville, Alabama to the late Ada Adams. He was raised by his grandfather, Henry Jones. He was the first of eleven children. He was a lover of people and loved by many. He was a man that you could count on. He was a friend to all.

James A. Morgan obtained a grade level
education, and was blessed with automotive,
carpentry and small engine skills.
He was married and divorced. He later
married Pettrice Burns on March 20, 1969 until her
death on December 11,2009.
He confessed the Lord as his personal
Savior.

As a young man, James worked on lawnmowers
and tractors, He later was employed with
International Automotive Components where he
worked for l0 years. He later became employed with
Tallapoosa Courty Head Start as a mechanic-where
he retired after 26 years.

After retirement, James started his own
small engine repair business. He faithfully repaired
and maintained small engines for the faithful
customers of Tallapoosa County, until he was no
longer able.

James A. Morgan was preceded in death by
his loving wife, Pattrice B. Morgan of 40 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three
daughters, Mary Merchant (Willie), Jeanette Stone
and Lavon Johnson; eleven grandchildren, Angela
Holt, Terence Merchant, Aaron Merchant, Kinuard
Merchant, Charles Stone Jr., Stephanie Greathouse,
Aletha Dowdell, Corban Stone, Phillissa Green,
Timothy Johnson and Carla Williams; numerous
great grandchildren; three brothers, AmonAdam Jr.,
Governor Adams, Flmer Adams Jr; four sisters,
Magadalene Adams, Mary M. Kelly, Mary P. Gibbs
(Grayland), Jessie Adams; sister-in-laws, brother-inlaws,
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
