Her Life
December 6, 2016

Mrs. Earnestine McCullough Walker, affectionately known as “Tine” was born in Riverview (now Valley), Alabama to the parentage of the late Earnest and Shirlene Thomas McCullough on August 22, 1958. She entered eternal rest on Friday, December 2, 2016 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, Alabama.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Tom Davidson. She remained a member of Bethlehem until death.

Tine was a woman of many talents and found great joy in several things including cooking – a talent she developed while working in the Food Service Department of George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital of Valley. After her tenure with Lanier, she transferred those culinary skills through entrepreneurship to supplying “home-cooked meals” for family and friends.

Provided with captive audiences, Tine became a guru of storytelling. She had the ability to turn holidays and family get-togethers into extravaganzas. Earnestine would demonstrate and tell fables to an audience powerless against the side-splitting laughter and open-mouthed amazement for which they were destined. She was a true performer and a serious actor in practice.

Tine truly loved her family and she touched many lives during her time here on earth. She leaves to cherish her infinite memories: her husband, Lamar Walker, Valley, AL; three children, Fredrica McCullough (Howard) Barnes, Lanett, AL, Montedro (Typricka) McCullough, West Point, GA and LaDexter (Stephanie) Walker, Valley, AL; four grandchildren, Anyjiah Barnes, Dyamond Barnes, Montaurious McCullough and Makala Prather; one brother, Tommy Lee McCullough (aka “Tom Love”), Ozark, AL; and, a host of beloved god-children, other loving relatives and friends.
