Leslie Lyn Payne was born in Danbury Connecticut on March 26 1964 to Thomas and Anne Payne. Her family sang her to sleep in Jesus on March 25 2015. Leslie was number 6 of 8 children. Deborah Lynn Patricia Lynne Sandra Lynne Thomas Brady Hillary Lynn Leslie Lyn, James Brady and Lisa Lyn. (Daddy told Mom she could choose our names as long as the middle names was Lynne for the girls and Brady for the boys and we have never quite decided if he was very original or very unimaginative). When Leslie was 5 years old the family moved to Greeneville Tennessee. Leslie attended DeBusk Elementary School and following a Paynefamily tradition attended Washington College Academy in Washington College Tennessee. In 1979 Leslie moved to Alabama and married her high school sweetheart Hollis Zellon Huff. They had 3 children: Hollis Zellon Huff II Andrew Thomas Huff and Hailey Anne Huff. Leslie's children daughters-in-law Becky and Kristy and her grandchildren Alden, Bethany} Brilee and Weston filled her life with great joy and satisfaction. Anytime we talked with Les, she had a story and a new picture of her grandchildren.

Several years ago, Leslie moved to Calhoun, Georgia to help care for our aging parents. It was while living in Calhoun that Leslie found the answer to a void she felt in her life. She says she tried to fill that void with many things but it was not until she met Jesus Christ that her life was complete. Jesus filled a deep longing in her heart. She loved New Beginnings Sabbath School class taught by Dave Smith Wayne Owen and John Swafford. The more she learned of Jesus the more she loved him. She was baptized in the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church and knew she was truly a part of the family of God that crosses all centuries all denominations and has no geographic boundaries.
