Thanks to the Berry/Heard Family for allowing Miss Pearl to be a part of our family's life too. She was one of THE PILLARS of the "D Street Community."  A place where kids could be raised in safety. Kids could ride their bikes more that 25ft from home. Kids could walk to the neighborhood store without fear. Any child on "D Street" could be disciplined by adults like Miss Pearl, because the community wellbeing and that of her neighbors and their children was of importance to her. Going to church was important to her and she did indeed "Love her neighbors as she did herself."

I'm thinking of you and your family as you celebrate your Mother's remarkable life and the memories you shared. May peace and comfort find you during this difficult time.
