Oh, my sweet Mama. I can't believe 6 years have gone by! You would be so proud of your kids grandkids and Great Grandson! I love you and I think of you often.

I wanted to light a candle in memory of Mrs. Jentzch as one of the few teachers who influenced my life and encouraged me to as a student to do whatever makes me happy. I have many memories of staying late after school for choir practice with her at Freed Middle School and they remain some of my fondest memories to this day. May her soul rest in peace and I hope that she is singing with the angels!

Here is what I wrote on Tuesday Nov. 17, 2015:

With grief and gratitude we celebrate the life of my Aunt Nancy today, who lost her battle with cancer. She was a force of nature in her own right, who was a great role model growing up. She exemplified what it is to be a strong, loving woman who treated everyone with the respect she demanded herself. Woe to you if you crossed her path, but there was always a loving hug and radiant smile on the other side. She was a teacher by calling and taught something to everyone she encountered. She will be sorely missed and her legacy will be felt through her children, many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and the hundreds of students she taught in her 30 years as an educator in Pueblo's school district 60. Say hi to mom, Aunt Nancy!

Like her mother before her, Nancy was a strong woman with a deep commitment to her community and family. She had a green thumb and grew amazing gardens. Any time I needed advice on plants, I would ask her. She and her husband, Bob, raised two strong women who have followed in their mother's footsteps as teachers and a most caring and creative son who cared for his mother until the end. I was so lucky to have had Nancy in my life. She was and is an inspiration for living a life that wasn't always easy, but was filled with much joy for the small things that we often forget to appreciate; a beautiful flower, sunsets, learning new things, meeting new friends (& old), taking pride in our children, and knowing we have lived with and by grace. I will miss her sense of humor and her smile most of all.

Hello extended Colorado family,

I have wonderful and very clear memories of being with you all in Pueblo on our way to the mountains from Arkansas. Nancy was always so kind and welcoming. Her yearly Christmas cards were always a treat. I know her bountiful spirit will be missed. Our thought are with you.
