What can I say about this beautiful woman who showed me Jesus in her journey. She is my Aunt Nancy. When you spoke with her she made you feel as if you were the only person in the world that mattered. Everyone thought he or she was her favorite. I know I did. When she spoke you would listen, her counsel was wise and godly and loving.
Never was there a discussion or a phone call without the name of Jesus in it. She was the first one you would call to pray for you and she did! He was her comfort, her strength, her joy, her love and her reason for being. I am so joyful she is with Him and her family in Heaven now. She was ready for peace and rest and all that Paradise is.
I have so many memories that I can't begin to share them. My childhood days with her and Uncle Pat and the kids in the 50's and 60's was the best of times. Pam and I would spend hours talking and laughing about these memories giving us such joy. We were a close knit family.
My Aunt and my mother, her sister, Rosemary took care of thier own mother, Mary. They taught all of us about what love is. They taught us about joy and laughter and God. They gave us children no better gift then this. Their relationship as sisters was the closest I have ever witnessed. They were inseparable, as if twins. They were best friends and confidants. They shared a life that was rich and full and remarkable as they grew up. They married brothers and shared life together along with their children.
My grandma Mary, my Aunt Nancy and my own mother Rosemary have been the greatest influences in my life. They taught me to be a loving, kind and strong godly woman. I will miss you sweet Nancy but I know where you are and I will see you again.
I love you Pat, Laurie and Liz. Thank you for sharing your mother with not only our family, but with so many who came to her.
