My son David & Bryce visited their garve on Sat in Holton, which brought back a lot of tender memories. Holton glory days came back partially with a very nice car show, which really pleased David! Visited the folks graves near Larkin with Becky and Laura and decorated the graves with nice flowers! I am recvering nicely from my hip surgery, but still need a walker. Memory not good, but i get by! Derek was over to watch the Indy 500 and he and Jennifer are doing well. God bless every one!!  Love,  Sam

Finally getting the opportunity to go through all of the family photos since my move to the Mission Chateau. The photos of Nancy brings back a lot of tender memories of fun times that was spent with Nancy and her family. She was always good to me and taught me some of the ropes that I needed. She used to lend me her nice car for special events . I miss her very much! God Bless. Sam

Nancy, Colleen and I were best buds. We taught 4th grade at Cyril Wengert Elementary School and we were inseparable. Nancy and I often carpooled to work (happy happy times). Our times together, both inside and outside the classroom, would be a bestseller. My 3 youngest children who attended high school and college in Las Vegas have been reminding me of all of the wonderful things they remember about Nancy and our friendship. They described Nancy as sweet, always smiling and energetic. Nancy was my cherished friend. She will live in my heart forever. God bless Nancy, Gerry and the entire Schirmer family. -- With love from Jean Walker and the Walker family.

Nancy being the oldest of six children assumed the role of mother, social chairman, referee, nurse, and advisor while the rest of us were growing up. During this time Nancy developed her traits of being loyal, supportive, helpful, and kind to everyone she associated with. These traits remained throughout her schooling, work career, and family life. In addition Nancy and Gerry's family was fun to visit and do things with. I will miss my big sister. Her little brother Jarry.

At Cyril Wengert elementary school, "Mrs. Schirmer" was an angel in disguise as a teacher! We arrived at Nellis and our youngest, Anne, had spent her first three years of school in three different schools with three different philosophies from "let them flower as they will" to old school (cursive writing in 3rd grade)..... Nancy literally saved her. She went on to a college degree but still remembers her 4th grade teacher as do we! Chet was in school with our daughters, Sally and Martha, and we enjoyed him too!

Nancy was a great big sister to me. she was fun to be around and included us in her activities. I admired her ability as a school teacher. Her former pupils told me she inspired them and made learning fun and interesting. She was very helpful to mom and was a great moral support for all of us. We shall miss her. Brother Bryce Moore

Nancy was a wonderful person. I had no idea how many things she had accomplished in her life until I read her history. I will really miss seeing her at the reunions.
