Tributes
Leave a TributeWow 6 years already seems like just yesterday. Missing you my friend, think about you often. RIP
How I miss you, it is so unreal that it's been 5 years since you were taken away from us. Blessings to you my dear friend. Until we meet again. Nita
I think about you all the time. I am in the city 2 days a week and now you are not there, breaks my heart. Of coarse I remembered your birthday wish we were having dim sum. Our dogs miss you too, we all do! Ginger plays with "netter bear" all the time! XO my friend..
I miss you dearly and think of you often and fondly. Thank you for being a great sister to me your entire life. I will never forget you. Rest in peace my little Sis...
Today I have been thinking about you, missing you so much. My birthday is coming and I will go to Dim Sum and then to Columbarium to see you. Lynette did a beautiful job for the service, April sat right next to your mom.
Rest in Peace
Beautiful and fun.
Bringing joy and laughter, too.
Always in my heart!
You will truly be missed but never forgotten!! You are in a better place now.. Will miss meeting up with you at festivals!! In my <3 forever..
I am so heart broken to think I will not be seeing you again, this for me is a bad dream. Our shopping trips and dim sum have come to an end. 28 years is a blessing I know that but we were not done. Love you forever DQ/Poo
It was honor to have you as a neighbor, friend and co-worker. I'll always remember the sight of you coming home with stacks of papers under your arms and how impressed I was with your diligence. Your burdens will be lighter now, and we will miss you
You were and remain a dear friend even though we drew apart some in recent years as life took us in different directions. I am missing you, but you will forever remain alive in my memories and heart. Rest in peace my friend

Chance
We have a dog name Chance if you have seen the movie "Marley and Me" this is our dog. Except ours was 105lbs at his peak. Chance just celebrated his 14th birthday in June. The dog book said life expectancy was 10 to 12 years I counted them down. Netter loved this dog. She often was telling me to "be nice to him" and she would send me home with treats for this dog I have not been fond of but my husband and kids love so much. I told her what what I had done one night about 4 months ago. My family was sitting at the table having dinner and Chance would not quit bugging me, panting, drooling and bugging me for a bite, not anyone else, just me. I kept saying to my husband why is he bugging me and not you or the girls? Marty said he loves you and he is not going to die until you are really nice to him and tell him you love him. So that whole evening he would go by and I would pet him, tell him he was a great dog and tell him that I loved him. All this to the delight of my girls. It was another funny evening at our house. The next morning my husband and I came down stairs to check on him and let him out. He pops up all excited and heads on out, I looked and my husband I said so much for that working, we laughed and went on about the day. I called Netter that night and told her what I had done and how he was still here frolicking about like a 5 year old dog at 14. She says to me "well he woke up and said, wow I must have been dreaming!" PRICELESS Marty the girls and I still laugh at that come back and she is right he must have been dreaming. My kids now tell me Nanette is watching so "be nice". I am Netter and I admit despite all the work and distruction he is a good dog and extremely kind and gentle.
I'm Free
"Don't Grieve for me, for now I'm free/I'm following the path God laid for me/I took His hand when I heard Him call/ I turned my back and left it all.
"I could not stay another day/To laugh, to love, to work or play/Tasks left undone must stay that way/I found that place at the close of day.
"If my parting has left a void/Then fill it with remembered joy/A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss/Ah yes, these things I too, will miss.
"Be not burdened with times of sorrow/ I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow/My life's been full I savored much/Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
"Perhaps my time seemed all too brief/Don't lengthen it now with undue grief/lift up your heart and share with me/God wanted me now, He set me free"
This was one of my favorite poems that I read at my fathers funeral, I didn't know Nanette that well, but have known of her for a long time through a mutual friend Jennifer Keith. I'm so sorry to hear of her loss for family and friends. She was a beautiful person.
