His Life
February 16, 2016

Mr. McCormick was born July 22, 1970 in Carrollton, GA to Velma Lee Smith McCormick Edwards and the late Oscar Lee McCormick. He was a man of God, who studied the word daily and attended the Heaven Bound Church of God when he was able. He was known as the resident handy man, and was always seen in his trademark jeans and t-shirt. Among his favorite pastimes was fishing and eating what he caught. He was a devoted father, wonderful husband, and special son who saw to every need the family had. It was said that no one could have asked for a better man for a son, husband or father.

Survivors include: his wife, Emily Loera McCormick of Roopville; his mother, Velma Lee Edwards of Roopville; daughter, Cheyenne McCormick of Roopville; son, Adam McCormick of Roopville; sister, Janette Nunley of Roopville; brothers: Robbie McCormick (Judy) of Bowdon; and Wayne McCormick of Roopville; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the family to go toward a headstone for Nathan.
