I was Ned's music teacher at Highlands Junior High when he was in junior high. He was such a handsome young man and delight to teach. When he found out I was expecting our first child in August, 1973, he and some fellow classmates gave me a baby shower at the end of the school year. I wish I could find the photo taken at the shower where he was smiling from ear to ear and standing with me and a bunch of my girl students. When we moved from Chicago in 1975, I lost contact with him but many years later out of the blue he called. He had found my phone number on the internet. I can't express the thrill it was to hear his voice! He told me all about his life, his challenges and his desire to come visit our family. We remained in contact for years then suddenly I never heard from him again so I assumed he had passed away.  Bless you, Ned, and I know you are in a better place and no longer suffering from your life's struggles. Bushels of love to the Germanson family.

Many prayers for healing and peace following the loss of Ned. My heart aches. Please know that Ned inspired in me a deep compassion and understanding for those who struggled with a variety of disabilities. As I have always said, I will forever, cherish that day I walked home with my new friend, Becky, to meet a family that was filled so many wonderful brothers and sisters! All our thoughts and prayers. After each and every visit with Ned I left with the challenge of making the best of what each day brings.
His life was a blessing.....His memory is a treasure.
All my love to his family.
