“Layered”



You come in moments, memories and tears.
Seems strange all these years-
Without you.
And then comes the intrusion of emotions
Deep within my soul along with the painful layers in my heart
Which begin to unfold .
Existence and baby steps I go toward the days ahead .
One certain thing I do know and will always.
To remember you is as easy as turning a page
Of the best book I have ever read .

Today, Nov 5th 2012 is the day 2 years ago I lost part of my heart, my best girl friend, my mother and a REAL LADY. I will cherish all the days of her life we shared and I am so thankful she was my mother.I was blessed with loving parents. I will cry for me today because she is not here but I will smile for her. She is safe, well, happy and with her family.

A woman who had a heart of gold and in her hands my heart she will always hold....

She always did it "her way" even in death....

A mother is the best friend you will ever have. Never let go of her hand
As her hand becomes small and fragile in yours - remember this- that is the same hand that held you up all your life and whatever strength she had as a young mother -now as an older mother somewhere inside her heart and soul that strength still remains
