Charles and Lynn,
   There is not many days, that I don't think about your Dad. He was a wonderful man, that could make you feel, great and happy, no matter what your problem was. I will always miss him.

Both sets of my grandparents and my parents services were assisted by G T Eakes. The earlier services when Nelson was working for G.T.
My in-laws were also assisted by the funeral home. I always expect Nelson to be at the door when I go to a service.  He was always such a help during our time of bereavement.  Remembering his birthday with warm thoughts to his family.

A man that is greatly missed. I loved his boldness, larger than life presence and his loyal friendship. He was among my most trusted peer group.  Watkins Cooper Lyon spent years sharing our most trusted thoughts with this man!

Eakes was my mom's 1st. cousin and we would visit him at the funeral home, so I got to know Nelson when he started to work. He helped us when Hilda's mom & both my parents passed. He would often visit me at the jewelery store & we would share a good joke! RIP, Dear Friend.

Nelson was a very special person, always glad to see you. He would always ask me "What's sister doing?" He will be missed. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Nelson Daniel was always a great friend and took care of our family, and my husband's family in times of need. I called Mabel Cleveland in Roxboro to let her know. Her husband shared Masonic trips with the Daniels and share many memories of Hawaii and other places. May the happy memories bring smiles to family, friends and everyone who knew him. He will certainly be missed.
