Nicholas Rodriquez Perry was born on August 4, 1980 to the parents of Anita and Aaron Smith in LaGrange, GA. He departed this life on July 29, 2016.

Nick accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. W. T. Edmondson. He often fellowshipped with the Three Life Ministry, LaGrange, GA.

Nick was a humble man who loved his children, family, friends and sports. He loved to converse with all that he met and he would always find a way to encourage and speak knowledge into everyone. His favorite pastime was spending time with his children and speaking about them to all who would listen. He had an unforgettable smile and an infectious laugh that would brighten your day.

“Nick”, as he was known to many, was a 1998 alumni of Troup County High School where he participated in football and wrestling. He was known for his talent on the football field and he loved the sport.

Nick was a former employee of the City of West Point, GA and Milliken. He was currently employed by NOK Funderburg in LaGrange, GA.

He was preceded in death by his brother, who he loved dearly, Joseph McFarlin; aunts, Alice McFarlin and Willene Cameron; uncles, Tommie McFarlin, John McFarlin, and Jim Wallace.

Nick leaves to cherish his loving and devoted mother and father, Anita and Aaron Smith, West Point, GA; two beloved children who were loved beyond their knowledge, LaPerion Perry, LaGrange, GA and Shakia Perry, West Point, GA; grandmothers, Linda Faye White, LaGrange, GA and Ella Perry, LaFayette, AL ;brothers, Kendall McFarlin, Valley, AL, Jonus McFarlin, Adrian (Shakell) McFarlin, West Point, GA, Mario (Kameal) McFarlin, LaGrange, GA, Christopher Wallace, Columbus, GA, Travis “Trabo” Harggett, Henry (Meka) Hutchinson, Bernard(Felina) Perry, Valley, AL, Johnathan Perry, LaFayette, AL; sisters, Mirandia (Marcus) Dawson, April Todd, LaGrange, GA, Kimberly Wallace, Newnan, GA, Yolanda Odom, Atlanta, GA, Sandra Wallace, Chicago, IL; Abby Shealey, a very special person whom he shared many years and loved; a very special niece Zeriah McFarlin, LaGrange, GA; special aunts, Cornelia Hubbard, Chicago IL, Doretha McFarlin, LaGrange, GA, Janice Todd, West Point, GA; uncles, Floyd (Ann) Wallace, West Point, GA and Willie Wallace, West Point, GA; a devoted cousin who he enjoyed spending time with Tony Gilliam, West Point, GA. and array of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
