Remembering youNilda it was always a pleasure seeing you and spending time with you as I often did.... in a time very sensitive in my life as I was growing into my shell as some would say. I can remember our talks and your advice to me was always taken to heart as I really did look up to you, respected you and loved you. I will never forget the time you showed me how to make your famous sopa de salchichon which is a staple in every Puerto Rican kitchen, step by step you stood there in the kitchen with me teaching me your platter. I admired you and remember your smile as you spoke to me while making the soup. I am forever greatful to have met you, you showed me love at a very crucial time in my life, I will never forget you and your smile.

Things will never be the same without you mom and you leaving us has left a deep void in our hearts. We all miss you and wish you did not have to leave us so soon. Time is supposed to heal wounds mom but it seems as though all it does is make me miss you even more each day that you are gone. Sweet memories of you keep us going even when the pain of losing you is still so fresh in our hearts. Mom we miss you so much. I have wept, I have cried, I have grieved for you. My heart is in pain and as the days goes by the wounds hurt more. REST IN PEACE MY ANGEL UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
