May 10, 2021
Missing you mummy !

Almighty Lord Perumal took you directly to his lotus feet on May 7th 9.50 pm ( Ekadasi Maranam , Dwadasi ) and freed you eternally from all the pain, sufferings and agony.

Looking back at your journey, I have created this page to celebrate the extraordinary life you lived. Alongside me and dad, you have touched innumerable lives and left an indelible impact on them.

Mom,

As I control my tears and gather strength to write this memoir, I am engulfed with memories.

a. Do I start with the love and care you bestowed upon me since the school days, when you took time to pack so many varieties of food ( in several small boxes)  that included fruits, biscuits, yummy potato, birinji , bhasundhi etc ?  You did this for straight 25 years until my college and Chennai office days as well. Everyone around me used to enjoy the delicacies you prepared and affectionately called me pregnant lady , as you treated me as ONE :)...

b. Do I start with the abundance of happiness and pride you get when I achieve even the smallest of things in school/college/work ? You made all my small victories sound large and found bliss in sharing with your friends and relatives.

c. You took my well being as your life's ultimatum and ensured I performed well in my career as well and kept probing on whats my next steps/goals and ambitions ? Even my bosses wouldn't have done a better job of following up on my career goals like the way you did :)...

d. You where self made, ventured into innumerable entrepreneurial activities, starting from being an LIC agent to running SAAI TELECOM ( Scintillation Land - Gift shop) to operating an education consultancy for higher studies with Muthu uncle. I have always been awed by your energy, never stop learning attitude and keenness to pick up new technology .

I still vividly remember the times when we shopped for gift items in Parrys to run the Scintillation Land in Mylapore, the pitstop at Agarwal Bhavan where we rejuvenated with samosas and lassis and above all , helped discover innumerable other treasures in Sowcarpet  which included food, shopping, temples etc etc ....

YOU had always put me ahead of yourself and ensured I received the best life possible. Nobody can replace the void you left behind and I am going to cherish the everlasting memories you gave for the rest of my life. I am proud to be your son and i will strive to make you proud by living a good life and emulating the values/principles you nourished me with.

Dad (K.Ramanathan) has the following words to say about you :

My wife, Niranjani truly dedicated her life for family and took care of everyone in the family until her last breath. I am extremely proud of all her entrepreneurial efforts and especially in the executive role when she joined hands with Mr. Muthukrishnan to operate the overseas education consultancy.

I request everyone visiting this site to share their memories about mom , which will serve as an inspiration to many and help register her legacy. Mom always wanted to be surrounded by "MANNAVALU" and she always cared to help everyone around her and ensured they were happy and content.
