Tributes
Leave a tributeDad, thinking of you today and always. I will love you forever
I grow up to know no other father who was always there working tirelessly for his children and family. My eyes continue to fill with tears each time I think about you, look at your priceless wife (our mother) and grandchildren, make a mistake/success in life, scroll through your phone number etc. I never knew the pain to be fatherless until this day 8th April 2016. Today 8th April 2017, I will try not to morn, weep or be sad although it’s difficult but will continue to celebrate your life bigly.
Although you are not here physically but I am compile to say that you have engraved into our hearts and soul that fatherly and family aspect and I can assure you that it will be passed on to the next generation. The footprints you left behind cannot be discarded even by the most powerful excavator. Your teachings, community involvement/sacrifice and peaceful way of life could have earned you the most powerful title in the Universe but God has rewarded you with the highest title being at His side now.
Continue to Rest In Peace dad bis wir wieder zu sehen
Everyday everything you thought me about love, caring, dedication and hard work lives on . There are also these two significant memories about you that are constantly driving me crazy:
1. I remembered when I was often not well, you will carry me as a baby on your back whilst riding a motorcycle from Njah Etu village to Acha hospital so that I can receive the best possible care. You also trembled each time I am not well or any of my siblings by taking quick actions or do what ever you can to ensure that we get well.
2. I also remembered when I was giving birth to my first son, apart from my mum supporting me , you were the only other person running around buying the medication that was prescribed by the doctor for my C section. I almost died, if you were not there to pay these bills . Huh!! Living in a country where one was barely surviving to meet the most basic needs and still have to pay for medical bills you know!
The year has gone so quick and may you continue to rest in peace and yes you thought me everything I needed to survive in this planet earth and am doing just fine. I wish you were still here watching me displaying just the other version of you.
Thank you, Thank you Papa for everything.
...your greatness remains our inspiration...

PA Tah NJAH JOHN; FIRST PRESIDENT,SPECIAL NEEDS ENTREPRENEUR GROUP
IN MEMORIAM PA TAH NJAH JOHN
On behalf of the Special Needs Entrepreneur Group Bamenda, We are deeply saddened by the passing of Pa Tah . Pa Tah played a very important role at the Special Needs Entrepreneur Group since the year 2000, as one of our original twelve founding members gathered in my grandmother’s house in Bamenda. He served as the first president, devoted adviser and was instrumental in bringing Special Needs Entrepreneur Group to where it is today.
Pa Tah was a role model and a friend to me for many years and he will be greatly missed by the entire Special Needs Entrepreneur Group family. When my grandmother passed on in the year 2002, together with the Special Needs Group family were always present with food and drinks in my grandmother’s home during the days leading to her funeral in Balikumbat village. His life with our Special Needs Entrepreneur Group family is an amazing story and our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of mourning.
Pa Tah dedicated himself as an inspiration to people with disabilities, advocate and activist for the rights of people with disabilities and empowering them to be their own self-advocates on issues that concern them. When it became clear that people with disabilities were not able to use sports facilities in Bamenda town, under his leadership, he led the group’s activism efforts and received the governor’s authorization for the group to have exclusive use of the sport stadium for three (3) hours on Sunday mornings. Inspired by the International Independent Living Movement , of self -determination and people with disabilities having the right and the opportunity just as people without disabilities, fought continually to create awareness and empower people with disabilities to work as a strong group.
He oversaw the launching of Special Needs Entrepreneur Group branches in various North West Region divisions and sub-divisions, travelled tirelessly to meet with and recruit new members , supporters and helped raised the group’s global profile and its critical mission to strengthen people with disabilities human rights activism and advocacy.
Pa Tah was the epitome of humility and simplicity, was happy among people with disabilities and takes pride in all that is progress in the right direction.
He will live forever in the memories of us all. We thank him for years of steadfast support.
Special Needs Entrepreneur Group is a Bamenda based umbrella human rights activism and advocacy association for and by people with disabilities, inspired the International Independent Living Movement , of self -determination and people with disabilities having the right and the opportunity just as people without disabilities. We work to create self-determination and empowerment through social enterprise development , thus the name Special Needs Entrepreneur Group.
