Mama as fondly called lost her mother at a very tender age. She was the only child of her mother. After the death of her mother, she was sent by her Father to live with her aunt, Mrs Nwabuje Ifeobikwu at Umutei. She was later taken from her aunt to live with Mrs. Margaret Ajoh (Nee Chidi Mokogwu) and her husband in Rivers State where she was taught how to weave and make clothes.

Mama was very vast in many languages aside from her local Igbo language, she spoke Kalabari, Ogoni and Ikwere fluently.

At the age of 18 years old, mama relocated back to Illah with mama Margaret. Her beauty, intelligence and morals led her to her heartthrob. She got married to Ogbuenyi Paul Akosa from the Uzoka family in Ogbe-Olu, Illah Town, Delta State. After their traditional marriage, mama moved to Aba to join her husband who at that time was working at J. Allens. Pa Paul was so accommodating and helpful. He welcomed everyone to his home, in fact his home was the first point of call for any relation who came to Aba and mama did not fail in her duties to make sure that everyone who visited was comfortable in her home.

Mama was a huge blessing to Pa Paul and these blessings were evident in all areas of their lives. She was an industrious woman who never entertained idleness or laziness in any form. In her quest to succeed in life she started petty trading from her home which later expanded to include other businesses such as snuff and soap making.

In 1966 she did her white wedding. She married Pa Paul Akosa Uzoka at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church, Aba.

Shortly after her wedding the civil war started in 1967, and mama had to relocate with her family to Illah. She remained in Illah until the war ended in 1970.

After the war, her husband-Pa Paul was transferred to Port-Harcourt and mama had to relocate with her family to Port-Harcourt where she continued her business. She became well known in her snuff business, and she introduced many men and women into her line of business and also encouraged them by giving them goods on credit.

Mama had no formal education, however, she improved herself by attending an Adult Education Program. She was able to read, write and sign documents where necessary. She was someone who ensured she was self-sufficient at all times and learnt to drive even when it was not very common for women to drive at that time.

Mama was a devout Catholic and was the patroness of Catholic Choir Diobu Port-Harcourt. She was crowned with the title LIFE MOTHER before she relocated to Asaba in Delta State.

She was the founder and President of Otu Ebeifedimmadi in Illah the once reigning and colorful Otu-Egwu in Illah.

Mama traveled to many places both Home and Abroad. She visited Los Angeles and San Francisco in the USA.

She lived a simple life. She was generous, caring, humble and loved everyone. She was called a woman of Gold (Omoko), a woman of substance who instilled morals in all who came across her. She encouraged and trained many successful people. She was very proud of her family (Uzoka, Ugeh and Odili). She was a gift to the world.
