He danced like David.

July 14, 2022
Pastor Wale, I pray you continue to dance in the presence of the Lord.  My first connection to you was with your dancing steps.  I noticed how you will come to church every Sunday and  dance during church service,  with your face beaming with smile and how the smile will continue even when you are packing the chairs and sleeping  the rug after the service.  Pls contnue to dance in honour of the most high God in heavenly places. Rest on Pastor.

These pictures were taken after Wale's passing. We had arranged to go to the studio to take them a few years back, so that we could have professional family portraits, but we kept putting it off until it was too late. We, therefore, had to ask for Wale to be grafted into this portrait. Whatever you can do now, do not postpone or procrastinate.

Adieu AKA Alagbafo.com

Pastor Wale not just a church brother but was a dear friend to my husband and me. We also enjoyed a great business and community relationship together as I acted as his Accountant during the life cycle of Crystal Wash Services. Before embarking on his business he was the office manager at e-consulting limited an IT company managed by my husband and me.

Pastor Wale and I were jointly appointed to co-ordinate the youth ministry of CDM International a big experience for us, challenging but fun and we thank God that all those youths we worked with have turned out really well and we give God the glory. Even after leaving the ministry some of the youth whom have all married Pastor Wale was a great mentor to them.

We were also both appointed to provide operational support to a small charity set up by CDM International to assist the under-priviledged, the fun times we shared working on this project brought both our families very close together until he passed away. From about 2000 to 2007 every time we had a family function we always asked him to co-ordinate some aspects of the event and he always rose to the task. He was a great person that you could rely on to do everything you assigned to him.

Pastor Wale was a go getter, extremely hardworking and I am sure nobody can replace the detail he put into ironing all my native materials, he packaged them well for me that sometimes after 3 years they wre still in impeccable condition. I personally will surely miss a great man, a dedicated selfless and fun loving character. Pastor Wale your death was a shock to me but I have the peace within me that you are with our Lord Jesus Christ watching over us all.

You were beautiful inwardly and outwardly. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. For a young person you have gone through all the seasons and my prayer is that God will keep the family and the void you have left Holy Spirit will fill it.

Just under 4yrs

July 30, 2013

I have only known you in the capacity of Pastor, in just under 4 years. In this short period of time, you have tremendously influenced my life - nobody else could fill your shoes. A selfless preacher of the word...you were commissioned with a big task of leading a church; you accepted this task and excelled even to the end...you trusted in the creator of heaven and earth until the very end! In your first year in Lifegate, you took each of us on an individual journey...enabling and equipping us according to our individual ability. For me it was prayer - we prayed every Wednesday without fail. The one thing that struck me firstly was your genuine desire to excel in all things...Sarah and Michael were getting married at the time and you took this on like you had known this couple for longer. Got CDM choir on board etc. you faced a lot of resistance, being new to the existing church but you stayed strong - you believed in the church. You wanted to make it work. In year two, I decided to leave the church...we sat and spoke about my reasons at length. You never tried to stop me. A few months later I attended church again and I was amazed at the changes in the church (not saying I was the reason for these changes) but everything I wanted in a church was present that day - I returned. You were a Pastor with a mighty difference, it was never your way or the highway. You listened, prayed and met us in the middle (always)! You were completely and selflessly immersed in the will of God; teaching and nurturing your sheep - a true shepherd indeed! Many are your crowns in heaven; you have surely done well, faithful servant of the most high God! In year three, I almost did not recognise you. Oh what a changed man you were...you brought me life in new dimensions. You fed my spirit with unquenchable fire. You ignited in me a burning desire for the true God - the God of "grace" and of "love" to whom I had given nothing to deserve his unconditional love. The God who has given us ALL things merely because He loves us. God revealed himself to you in an awesome way...you shared this knowledge with us and for this alone, I am eternally grateful to you . You certainly broke those chains of ignorance and I am set free! Personally, you were charming, witty and a man of excellence. You were a family man above all...you wanted above all to give your wife and kids the very best and its hurts me the most that you left so soon; this I believe you would strived to fulfil. You inspired and urged us to make the most of our individual gifts and to put excellence first. You displayed this with every guest minister; your dry cleaning business; parenthood; ministry; charities; our neighbouring church heads and I'm sure in your local communities and family at large. I am mostly sad that I am unable to share all the good things that have happened in the last two months with you. Many of our prayers have now materialised. Just like you said they would. My father, brother and friend... I miss you! I love you! I thank you! In under 4 years you have helped to make me the new woman that I am. See you on the other side...at the right hand of our father in heaven. Omotayo xoxoxo
