Princess Olayemi Dosumu-Laoshe was called to glory on 26th March, 2021 after a brief illness.



Princess Dosumu-Laoshe was a distinguished Lagosian, Matriarch of the Dosumu Family of Lagos and direct descendant of Oba Dosumu I, she served her state and honoured her country as the first Female Gubernatorial Aspirant in Lagos State in the 1991/2 elections under the SDP. She later served in the late Sir Michael Otedola cabinet as Commissioner for Commerce and Industry. A pioneer in oil palm production and processing in Epe, Lagos State she also co-founded several industries together with her husband and ran the then famous Grand Deluxe hairdressers and produced their signature tissue brand.



She is fondly remembered for her gentle kind yet fearless heart.
