Reflecting on her Christian life, Big Mummy was a storehouse of peace, love, joy, faith, benevolence and hospitality. Always smiling. A dependable confidant and adviser. She loved her God and remained unshaken and totally dependent on Him until her death. Her consistent faith, devotion and service to people earned her appointments of chieftaincy titles and Grand Patroness of the African church, Totoro, Abeokuta in 2006. An active member of Cherubim & Seraphim Surulere Church of over forty years, she served in Jochebed Band as Treasurer and later became the Captain of Sarah band and a conference title of Senior Mother-in-Israel. The unusual traits of selfless giving and encouraging wisdom to anyone; no wonder she was named Mary.

Her Legacy

She was a selfless woman, who was a mother of four but a mother to many more; totally committed in her service to God and man.

Her joyful testimony is knowing that her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren know and actively serve the Lord in varied capacities. The Wednesday before her passing on to glory, she received communion as always.

She’s survived to the glory of God by an aunt, two aged first cousins, four children and their spouses, thirteen grandchildren and their spouses, nine great-grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

She will be greatly missed especially by numerous children in the family, church and her neighbourhood.
