I had been having this strange desire to talk with you, so I had to ask my dad for your number, I called you on the 4th of May. We talked for 42 seconds, l don't think you knew you were talking to your granddaughter and even though we talked for just 42 seconds I felt this great joy and relief within me.
Grandpa, though we were not very close while you were here with us, I will still miss you forever.
Rest on!

Your grand daughter,
Promise Aguda.

It was a painful moment, when my dear brother and Friend Bodunrin Aguda (Your Son) called and inform me of your passing unto glory. I was disturbed because you came to my thought strongly last week. I am not close to you, neither do you even know.

I called my friend Bodunrin and asked after you. I just told him my heart went to Baba and I felt like sending something to him but before anything could be done you have gone to be with the Lord.

I might be too young to know much about you, but your legacies speaks loud and clear that you lived a fulfilled life.

How mightily, God used you for the No Parking group in TAC, the impact you make in the church, both The Apostolic Church and other Denomination.

The pioneering, and vision you inspired within your kinsmen in Okun land to pursue quality education. The role you played in families and Okun communities.

Many life's you impacted while in school as Principal ( Including my dear Father in the Lord Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel) This earn you great recognition in one of the Shiloh events.

Okun land will surely miss you, The Apostolic Church Efo Amuro Area and the entire LAWNA will miss you.

Rest on Baba, till we meet on the resurrection morning.

Good Night Baba.

Dear Daddy, the great ICON OF OUR TIME. You are such a helpful man of God, a true follower of Christ. A symbol of unity and progress. A God sent in time of trouble. No amount of words can describe your love for God and His ministry.
Your eagle eye that sees the future from the present cannot be overemphasized of which I am a living witness. Thank you for touching lives in marvelous ways. Rest on my dear Senior First Cousin, Pa. O. F. as you are fondly call.

Kabba Teacher’s College Old Girls Association
[Secondary School Cohorts]

It is with mixed emotions that we write to extend our deepest sympathy for the passing of our beloved father and former Principal – Pa. O.F. Aguda. What a great loss! He is our loss but heaven's gain.

Baba Aguda was the first male principal of Kabba Teacher’s College, Kabba. He was a man of stable character. He was a Principal of Principals, a great disciplinarian, a loving father, an astute believer of our Lord Jesus Christ. He instilled in us the value of discipline and leadership. Every posture of him was a language and message of accountability. An eloquent speaker who controlled the tone of the school. An incorruptible leader both morally and financially.

Our principal, our daddy, was a patriotic man, God-fearing and father of no parking. He was a disciplined and focused man. He was more of a loving father than a principal to us all regardless of the tribe or tongue. We are grateful to have been under your leadership because you were a true leader worthy of emulation.

Baba believed in “spare the rod and spoil the child”, if one dared to misbehave, he would take you to his office, discipline you, make you lie down on the floor and sleep. When you wakeup he would give you a bottle of mineral to cool you down, then you can go back to your class and carry on with your duties. That is how loving he was.

He took some of the students to The Apostolic Church in Kabba town for a thanksgiving service after one of us was healed of an unknown skin disease.

The memories of your sayings and counsels are still fresh in our minds. Your contribution to our lives is invaluable. We each have fond and loving memories of you. We have put our individual recollections into these paragraphs, knowing that they are inadequate to fully express what you mean to each and everyone of us.

For example, Chief (Mrs.) T. Sunmonu (nee Olisa), said the following about your contribution in her life:

“My principal! I can never forget how you took me as a daughter when I got to KTC in 1973. Twice you gave me a letter to my father to allow me to go to Federal Girls college Benin to represent Kwara quota in the common entrance examination then, but my father wouldn't hear of it because he felt Benin was too far in the East for me.
You then made me come to greet you in the office every morning after the assembly just like the prefects then. (Oh well, this didn't go down well with the prefects.....but there was nothing they could do).

I can actually write a book about MY PRINCIPAL.....especially the persecution that followed after you left. My life story can never be complete without the mention of your name Sir.”

We love you but God loves you most. May the beautiful soul of our loving, humble, kind, honest, just, God-fearing, and noble daddy, Pa. O.F. Aguda rest in perfect peace. He finished well to the glory of God. Hallelujah!!!

Sleep on BABA wa O.F. AGUDA. YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS.
