Kabba Teacher’s College Old Girls Association
[Secondary School Cohorts]

It is with mixed emotions that we write to extend our deepest sympathy for the passing of our beloved father and former Principal – Pa. O.F. Aguda. What a great loss! He is our loss but heaven's gain.

Baba Aguda was the first male principal of Kabba Teacher’s College, Kabba. He was a man of stable character. He was a Principal of Principals, a great disciplinarian, a loving father, an astute believer of our Lord Jesus Christ. He instilled in us the value of discipline and leadership. Every posture of him was a language and message of accountability. An eloquent speaker who controlled the tone of the school. An incorruptible leader both morally and financially.

Our principal, our daddy, was a patriotic man, God-fearing and father of no parking. He was a disciplined and focused man. He was more of a loving father than a principal to us all regardless of the tribe or tongue. We are grateful to have been under your leadership because you were a true leader worthy of emulation.

Baba believed in “spare the rod and spoil the child”, if one dared to misbehave, he would take you to his office, discipline you, make you lie down on the floor and sleep. When you wakeup he would give you a bottle of mineral to cool you down, then you can go back to your class and carry on with your duties. That is how loving he was.

He took some of the students to The Apostolic Church in Kabba town for a thanksgiving service after one of us was healed of an unknown skin disease.

The memories of your sayings and counsels are still fresh in our minds. Your contribution to our lives is invaluable. We each have fond and loving memories of you. We have put our individual recollections into these paragraphs, knowing that they are inadequate to fully express what you mean to each and everyone of us.

For example, Chief (Mrs.) T. Sunmonu (nee Olisa), said the following about your contribution in her life:

“My principal! I can never forget how you took me as a daughter when I got to KTC in 1973. Twice you gave me a letter to my father to allow me to go to Federal Girls college Benin to represent Kwara quota in the common entrance examination then, but my father wouldn't hear of it because he felt Benin was too far in the East for me.
You then made me come to greet you in the office every morning after the assembly just like the prefects then. (Oh well, this didn't go down well with the prefects.....but there was nothing they could do).

I can actually write a book about MY PRINCIPAL.....especially the persecution that followed after you left. My life story can never be complete without the mention of your name Sir.”

We love you but God loves you most. May the beautiful soul of our loving, humble, kind, honest, just, God-fearing, and noble daddy, Pa. O.F. Aguda rest in perfect peace. He finished well to the glory of God. Hallelujah!!!

Sleep on BABA wa O.F. AGUDA. YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS.

The exit of great disciplinarian who through his virtue made so many children of yesteryears including myself what we are now with pride and proud...

He was our Principal from 1979 to 1984 at Abdul Aziz Atta Memorial College, Okene (AAAMCO as popularly called then) shortly after transferred of Principal Onadepo...

He was the one that lay the foundation of discipline in us and give us the encourage that we can treck the journey of one million miles even with associated difficulties and challenges which is what most of us enjoy till today....

Oh...my Principal, our Principal Oversea O F Aguda is gone to rest in the Lord, no doubt, we knew you lived an exemplary life worth of emulation...

Tribute To Overseer Olorunfemi Frank Aguda
Overseer Olorunfemi Frank Aguda happened to be my principal while in secondary school at GSS Omuaran. He was a very sound Christian. He introduced prayer at the school assembly .
A most humble leader, he played the piano in our students’ fellowship. He exhibited highly enviable Christian virtue. None of us close to him was surprised to see him emerged as an overseer of one of the frontline Pentecostal churches in Nigeria – The Apostolic Church.
I personally drew a lot of lessons from his practical Christianity. He was a godly disciplinarian. Interestingly, in later year, we became very close. It was always a blessing every time we go together.
He was with me at the inauguration of Landmark University, Omuaran, where he told some humorous story about my growing up days. He was not only spiritually strong man, but he was also strong physically for his age. I remember asking him to come to the platform during Shiloh 2016, our annual convocation. I was surprised to see the young man running from far back to the altar. Even last year December 2020, he drove himself with mama by his side to visit us at Omuaran during Christmas period and was there at our praise night, where he also made some remarks.
My wife and I consider him a sage. A man with a heart for God and served God till the very end. We will miss him, but we are very assured he is resting at the bosom of Christ in heaven
My prayer for the entire members of the family is that God will grant everyone the grace to emulate these virtues and build on them and may Christ remain at the center of the life of every member of the family till the end of time.
In conclusion, I say to the departed soul, continue to rest in peace in the bosom of Christ until we meet again at the resurrection morning.
Adieu!

*Best Daddy,*

We still cannot believe you have left us, a strong, intelligent, dedicated and honest man. He sacrificed his years doing good for families, Churches, Communities, to mention few, without wanting or expecting anything in return.

Daddy, your departure happened like a movie and now you are no where to be found . You have left a big void in our lives and life will never be the same again. Nevertheless, this death won’t separate us forever, we shall meet again where we shall part no more. Meanwhile, you will always be in our thoughts, prayers and in our hearts.

We will always remember how you thought us by your example, the value of true worship, sacrifices, hard work, good judgment, the courage, integrity and many more.

We wonder if we ever thanked you enough, for the sacrifices you made, to let us have the very best, we wish we expressed how much we loved you when you were here with us. we wish we could turn back time. We will never forget you and you will always remain our best daddy.

Love from your children, Gideon, Angela & children

DADDY! you were a wonderful father, calling you a father in-Law is an understatement. You showed love to all of us and kept us all as one big happy family of God. You demonstrated the name "Aguda" so well, which means unity.

Daddy was a loyal soldier of Christ, defender of the faith, a leader and pace setter, a loving, caring and generous giver. A christain to the core, a role model, a teacher par excellence a disciplinarian, a rare gem.

Daddy, we are going to miss your counseling, chastisement as at due.

Daddy, you have fought the battle and won the victory as good soldier of Christ. Happily you laid your sword down at the feet of the Lord.

Rest eternally at the Bosom of the Lord.

Tribute from Son TOBA AGUDA.
I can never forget the 17th day of may, 2021 when an uncle called me and say: "we lost daddy"
Daddy- daddy I used to call you when you were alive. Your response : Alagba to ju alagba Lo, it means the able elder. Good daddy I will never forget you. You trained and thought us the fear of God most especially not to keep malice with people. Daddy daddy a disciplinarian and a soldier of God. Daddy daddy No Parking, No Stopping, No waiting and No rebelling. I can never forget you for your love, concern and witty disposition. You thought us to be generous and accommodating. It is true that the most high God has called you to glory. I know we shall
meet in paradise. You thought us to be decent, smart at all times. You scolded us whenever we did something wrong.
Daddy daddy, how I wish you are my daddy if there is another world again. Words are not enough to express my gratitude for your love, a lover of nature.
Father no parking, there was a time I shouted No parking machine gun halleluyah in a wedding ceremony the couple felt under the Holy Spirit.
Father No Parking was a genius daddy trained by colonial masters. I do baffle whenever you recite biblical verses and singing of hymns without gazing at the Bible or redemption hymnal book which I for one emulates.
Your grandson Ayooluwabami will miss you. How I wish he got to know you more.
Daddy daddy, an administrator, a disciplinarian and a devoted soldier of God. Father No Parking, your office and your house were freely opened to all without restrictions.
Your devotion to mummy your dearest wife mummy Comfort Oni Aguda our sweet mother cannot be over emphasised. The greatest legacy is making a good impact in people's lives which you have done not to your immediate family only.
Daddy, we love you but God loves you more. Daddy, even in my widest dreams, I won't have imagined this. My good daddy who lived by many principles, however challenging, primary amongst them being contentment, peace, love. Father No Parking we miss your leadership, counsel and great service.
You thought us how to respect elders. You served your family with all you had and was a great example of what Christian family man should be. Iam forever grateful. I remember When we were young you thought us never to taste or eat kola nut, that whosoever eats kola we womanize.
You never for once gave us paracetamol nor consult a physician when we were young. Till we meet again daddy daddy. I love you but God loves you more. Above all, May God bless our eternal home Jerusalem.

TO AN OUTSTANDING AND UNCOMMON LEGEND

On the 17th May,2021 would remain one of the memorable days in the chronicle books of Orokere Amuro when the news of the death of an Icon, Overseer O F Aguda broke out. It was really a rude shock to many people like me who spoke with him the same day of his demise.

I had a deep breath with my head down, several thoughts run through my mind: could it be true that this patriarch of inestimable value has left us without prior notice,? What would happen to all the discussion we had a day prior his Glorious Exit? 'Omase ooo !'

Without mincing words, Orokere Amuro has lost a colossus,an educationist,an administrator par excellence, a bridge builder, a fence mender, and a light bearer who stood for the truth at all times and in all situation and circumstances. It was indeed one loss too many for Orokere community.

His legendary footprints in the sand of time he walked will remain indelible for eternity.

Being an mentor he was, a rare gem, a quintessential and a giant in the sun, this Uncommon General in his iconic records has created a vacuum in the community and Christian body which would be difficult for anyone to fill.

But we took solace in the fact that Baba Aguda did his best to humanity and God with living evidences abound every where.

It's on this, though with a heavy heart but gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, we say adieu to Pa Olorunfemi Frank Aguda until the resurrection of the saints.

May God console and uphold his immediate family, church and the community at large IJMN.

OWA President.

It’s hard to miss our beloved patriarch. A dedicated ambassador of Christ, a prayer warrior, a humble leader who was full of compassion. You were a relentless intercessor who stood in the gap for all.

The last time we texted each other was in March when I congratulated you for chairing a committee that translated the New Testament of the Bible into OKUN dialect. And I quoted Psalm 92:12-14: “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.” You were fruitful to the end, and your fruit shall endure.

We love you, but God whom you served passionately loves you more and has called you home for a rest. Our consolation is that we shall meet again at the bosom of Jesus Christ where we shall part no more.

"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints." Ps 116:15
Why this time daddy? Why that you have to leave me this very time? You educated and led me on how to work for God with my whole heart and possessions without waiting for men rewards. Your life style especially in faith have been of help to me in faith likewise your attitude. But why now daddy? My daddy, is unbelievable for me to accepting that you have gone to the bosom of our Lord. But this is my very very consolation that you finished strong and finished well. I will not forget your counsels and good memories we had together. My very family cannot forget you. I will not stop saying and writing about your good works to humanity and in the house of God. Rest on my very dearest father and mentor till we meet again and part no more in Christ Jesus our Lord. But this was not how we concluded our last discussion, daddy. So my journey to village last time was to see you for the last time on earth.

My wife that you usually called "Iyawo mi-my wife" is missing you and our children Emmanuel and Gabriel, we said rest on in the bosom of our Lord. We love you but God love you most.

Baba Aguda: The Undying Overseer

By Kingsley Femi Fanwo (KFF)

One of the very first messages to me this morning was from one of the people I respect most, the Director General of the Kogi State Government House, Adai Shuaib Oricha. He was sad Baba died. "My Principal is gone", he wrote. He spoke eloquently of Baba's heroism, both in the classroom and in the sanctuary.

He is gone now. But his memories will remain with us forever.

The last time I saw Baba was at the Apostolic Church Convention Ground at Gbongan. Old, smart, sharp and in his ever brilliant and amazing elements.

He prayed for me and many others. He blessed us with his grace and never stopped working.

We may likely think it is easy to replace Baba Aguda. But we will realize he is irreplaceable, his spirit was positive, his moves were great and he enjoyed the grace of the Almighty till the end.

My grandfather, the late Apostle S.O. Obanro told me a lot about Baba Aguda. I grew up to see most of those intrinsic qualities. Baba was a lover of men and God. He was never tired of working in the vineyard. And he never abandoned his place in Amuro Community.

A Prophet with honor at home, many of us watched with pride when the Founder of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo celebrated Baba Aguda at Ota. I kept watching the video because Amuro was celebrated at Ota by one of the most celebrated men of God. It was an honor. So when the DG Government House Administration also shared with me, his picture with Baba when he invited him to his Office in Lokoja, I realized how big that humble Baba was.

Why did his students celebrate him that much? It wasn't just because he was a teacher or Principal, no. It was because of his impact and the seeds he planted in them. He was a disciplinarian, yet, they loved him.

Baba's life is a book all of us must read and learn from. He came, he saw and conquered.

I have no doubt you are already singing with the Angels Baba. Let me put one of your favorite hymn here.

Goodnight Baba.

                  GOD’S GENERAL IS GONE

Pa Overseer Olorunfemi Frank Aguda (OWAGHERE) was a father like no other, a generous and cheerful giver. He was a Teacher of Teachers, a Principal of Principals, an erudite historian of repute, a religious and community mobiliser.

He loved to serve with unreserved passion.

He loved OROKERE with his body, soul and spirit.
I was told the a story when he retired and relocated back to the village. He set up Owaghere (farm) Enterprises. When he bought his Mercedes Benz, he told the community, “ANYWHERE THEY WANTS TO SEND HIM ON ERRAND, HE’S READY TO GO FOR THEM “

He pioneered “EGBE NO PARKING “, a very formidable Intercessory Prayer Group of The Apostolic Church, LAWNA KABBA AREA in the 1970s.

He was instrumental to the success recorded by OROKERE Prayer Project from 2017 till he breathed his last. He was also the Head of OROKERE Community Prayer Group.

OROKERE’S LOSS OF THIS GREAT GOD’S GENERAL IS HEAVEN’S GAIN.

REST ON IN THE BOSOM OF JESUS CHRIST

We can do him no greater honour than to come out in large numbers and in our colors to pay our last respect to a worthy son who gave his all to Orokere - Amuro. We are now appealing to all Orokere sons and daughters, at home or in diasporas, to please make it a point of duty to attend the burial programs of the late Pa OF Aguda.

My Grandpa was a humble man; he never liked to be the center of attention. In life and now in death, he wouldn't want us to focus on him. He wouldn't want us to focus on the sadness of his death, but instead focus on the happiness in our lives. He would want us to appreciate each other and our future. Tho we spent little times together I cherish those little times. May your soul rest in perfect peace

I never met Pa. Aguda, but will wholeheartedly agree with the kind words about his good deeds during his sojourn on earth, because I have met and related closely with two of his children, Pastor Gideon Aguda, and Pastor Mrs. Mercy Adebayo, Nee Aguda, my beloved Shepherds in the Lord in RCCG, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.

The godliness and character of the duo point to nothing but a fact that Daddy was a good man! May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

I can hear him whisper to Daddy Gideon, Mummy Mercy and the other family members not to weep but celebrate for he is in a better place!

My daddy, Pastor Pius Adebayo, please accept our condolences as well on the passing of your beloved father in-law, I know if Prayers would have worked to keep him here, you would gladly and effortlessly offer same, but God in His omnipotence has decided to call Pa. Aguda to glory at His time, that His Name might be glorified. So, we submit to His will. Ojo a jina sira won o, amin!

With lots of love,

From your children in the Lord,

Bro. Dele and Sister Helen AYODELE and family.

Sweet is the memories of the righteous.... Daddy, you came, you saw, you fought and above all you conquered.
I had the opportunity of knowing you at my very tender age as a pupil of The Apostolic Church Nursery and primary school in the early 90s through your resilience and good will to all you nortured and catered for us all, luckily for me and my likes after our graduation from the primary school, we were ushered in directly under your tutelage in the then Orokere Comprehensive College OCC (now OCHS) when you answered the clarion call to set a standard for your community secondary school as the pioneer principal of the prestigious Sch in the year 2000 and God used you greatly in shaping our lives as the pioneer students of the school...
Daddy, you lived your entire life serving God and humanity setting standards worthy of emulation.
As humans we would've loved to have you a bit longer, but we are consoled knowing fully well that we shall meet to part no more at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ.. Psalms 116:15 precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. (Phil 1:21-23,...2cor 5:8,..Rev 14:13,..Romans 14:8,..Isaiah 57:1).....Rest on daddy, rest on my principal.. . Overseer Aguda was my High School principal. A very astute disciplinarian who loved children and was invested in the growth and development of the complete child. No nonsense, no excuses, do your work and prepare your own future through the instrumentality of education. Whenever anyone in the school heard the sound of his volvo, all inappropriate and youthful exuberances stops because the Overseer will fish you out, you are suspended and your parents contacted for further discipline. You will be missed papa.

Overseer Aguda was just a gift who will forever be remembered for good things God has done through him.

We recently discussed how he has mentored great people in life and Bishop Oyedepo's was mentioned when discussing this with my boss and Pastor Dr. Gbadero of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ekpoma Area.

Bishop invited him to My case different, Shiloh of Winners Chapel to showcase a good father to the world. The news littered South West and Nigeria as a whole about a rare gem from The Apostolic Church who was Bishop teachers that impacted to him spiritually and academically.

Baba Aguda programme "No packing" was a another powerful and spiritual programme that will always be spoken of to lift the younger ones spiritually and make them seek the face of God the more, indeed Baba has gone to rest with the Lord and it is my joy to say this.

Rest well till we meet to part no more.

We come to your house when there was no television to watch in the community then in 80ths, in your generousity you will vacate your living room for the children to come and watch film, this just little out of a lot good things I remember you for, may your soul continue to rest in peace,

It was with a great shock I received the news of your death, Daddy. You told me two days ago that you're experiencing illness for a very long time ago. I sat with you to discuss Community issue. You assured me immediately you're up you will do the needful. I called you the following day to confirm your health and you responded.
I never knew that was the way we will bid ourselves farewell. We still have a lot of work left undone Daddy.
The vacuum you're leaving in Orokere would be too big for anyone to fill in. Not only that, you were one of the Patron of OWA,CAN and a special life member of BSN. How do we cope with all these.

You always shed light to every darkest issue within the community.

No doubt we will miss you sir.

But we took solace in the fact that you have gone to rest with your maker. Sweet is the memory of the righteous.

Rest on Daddy till we meet to part no more. We loved you but God loves you most.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints. Ps 116:15
Why this time daddy? Why that you have to leave me this very time? You educated and led me on how to work for God with my whole heart and possessions without waiting for men rewards. Your life style especially in faith have been of help to me in faith. But why now daddy? My daddy, is unbelievable for me to accepting that you have gone to the bosom of our Lord. But this is my very very consolation that you finished strong and well. I will not forget your counsels and good memories we had together. I cannot finish saying and writing about your good works to humanity and in the house of God, daddy. Rest on my very dearest father and mentor till we meet again and part no more in Christ Jesus our Lord. But this was not how we concluded our last discussion, daddy. So my journey to village last time was to see you for the last time on earth.
Emmanuel and Gabriel with their mother said rest on in the bosom of our Lord.
Love you but God love you most.
Your son Wale and family.
