Hmmmm...this looks like a movie or dream. I can't even comprehend that you are gone my dear friend and brother Olusegun Ebenezer Jacobs. Wow! It hurts to see that this is the reason for your long silence and non communication. SEJ! I know you are in a better place! Rest on and keep making melodies to our King. I love you brother. See you on the resurrection morning.

Bro Segun, my big bros as I fondly call you. I couldn't believe it when I found out you were gone. Tears welled up in my eyes with much disbelief and with a heavy heart I type this, wondering why you'd leave so soon. So many unanswered questions, but only Jesus understands.

You were really nice and funny with words of advice and always ready to help people. You believed in my startup business and patronised me despite how inadequate I felt initially.

I believe you're in a better place and God will stand by the family you left behind. Adieu Bro Segun Jacobs

So it's true! Oh death where is thy sting! Bro Segun, you will be greatly missed, your contributions towards the choir, most especially your tenor voice in the song- Underneath His wings- keeps ringing in my ears. May God keep your lovely wife and kids underneath His wings. Rest in peace my brother, till we meet at the Pearly gate.

Bro Segun!!! My Brother, friend and Teacher. This is just so unexpected!!! Vibrant, always smiling, always ready to help.
You called just some few days back to encourage me. That God who saw you through will do so for me, how would I have expected such news.
I know your love for God and for right, and I am certain by Gods Grace you are resting in the Blossom of the Lord. Adieu Bros!!!

So sad but true…God only takes the best.
We are still in shock and find it hard to believe you have gone to be with the Lord.
You were a true brother and friend that would not hesitate to express how you felt in any situation.
Your love for the service of God and the memory of our singing together in the choir will forever be cherished.
You have left an indelible mark in our hearts, but we take solace in the hope that we will see you again when the dead in Christ shall be raised incorruptible.
May God console the family and the friends you left behind.
Sleep on dear Brother till the resurrection morning.

Working together as part of Samsung sales force was an unforgettable experience for us. It was a watershed in my career personally. We both managed key accounts like OKAYPHONES at the time. I am just saying it was all good memories. Your experience, candour and gravitas always came to the fore. And now we can't relieve those moments together anymore. Such cruelty of death but you have gone to meet with your LORD JESUS, so it's miss for me and not a loss. See you in eternity.

I am praying that God should give the immediate family the strenght and courage to bear your departure.

With your kind and loving ways.

If 'smiling' was a person, that certainly would have been you! Only God knows why He had to take you at this time, as humans that we are, it's really very hard to comprehend.

As I write this, a part of me hopes that i will still see you on one of the streets of Ikeja as I usually would, harass you and even tax you as I would!

Hmmm, rest well Bro Segun

For the period I knew you, you showed absolute dedication to your job. You didn't speak much but your demeanour eschewed humility and doggedness.

I wish you had said goodbye but who am I to question the Almighty that knows all.

Pappy J,

Indeed you're a true friend and colleague. Your gentility and humility is incomparable. I will surely miss our early morning gists about life and work.
I am yet to come to terms with your departure. My heart is heavy as your demise is still a mystery.
May God grant your family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.
Continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord.
Miss you dearly.

Bro Segun,
It feels like a dream that I'm still hoping to wake up from, but the reality is you're gone, and your absence has left a gaping hole in our hearts. How could we possibly express or describe the impact you had in each of our lives. You are a superhero, a man of many talents; a husband, friend, brother, uncle, minister, colleague and the list goes on. But in all things, 1 Thessalonians 5:18 commands that we give thanks, and although right now the spirit of thanksgiving seems amiss we can only praise God for blessing us with the opportunity to know you while you were here on earth. You will never be forgotten and we can only hope we can encounter more people like you- Olusegun Ebenezer Jacobs.

Pains triggers in my bone marrow each time I remember your demise. We were together on Thursday in TD Ikeja branch cheering ourselves; I never knew that was the last. I remember you were planning to travel for easter holiday. Easter Monday came and I never saw you.

Don Baba J! The name I gave you in 2009

12years of knowing and working with you, I never thought this day will come!
A cheerful giver and a peace maker!
Always having something positive to say.
You loved your good name more than riches.
A God fearing man! Lover of his wife and a family man to the core!
A good man indeed!
Writing this tribute is really hard for me and sincerely, I may never recover from your passing!

Heaven indeed has gained a saint!
