FAREWELL MY DEAR SISTER
My dear sister,
I am bereft of words to sing your praise to the world, to tell the stuff of which you are made, to let people know that a real heroine from the Mbanefo Clan of Odoje, Onitsha, has departed from among us.
Your achievements are too numerous to be listed here dear sister, in any event, we give all glory to God Almighty. You were a virtuous woman. Our merciful Lord will surely reward you with paradise. You left your mark in all spheres of life. Omeorafu, your departure from this life has left a big void in our lives, but we thank you very much for the pillar you single handedly built for the family. You largess was there for each and every one, and that fortified the family for the 21st century.
Omeorafu, you are gone, but your memory will linger on forever. I always think of how strong a person you always were throughout your life. To you, life was a challenge that ought to be faced, no matter what.
We miss you very much that we are consoled with the recollection of Revelation 14:13 which confirms to us that “Blessed are the dead who died in the Lord henceforth. Blessed indeed that they may rest in their labours, for good deeds accompany them.”
We thank the Lord that as he promised, you remained faithful to Him until your death and so have won a crown of life (Rev.2:10). Please pray for us to join you in the Lord’s kingdom and rejoice in that vision of His entrancing beauty for ever and ever.
However, I take solace in the fact that your painful exit is a transition to your deserved place in the bosom of our Lord!
Your dear brother
Capt. Benedict Ikechukwu Mbanefo
