Hmmmnnn! I'm still in shock! Where do I start? We were best friends in the Primary school. Always at each others house and playing together, whenever I wasn't hanging out with my twin brother and his friends at the football field where Shoprite is located now. At times we were both at Bunmi Oyebamidele's house our third friend.
All of a sudden you left State Primary School Agindingbi, in Pry 5. And I thought that was the end of our ffriendship. Until luck, brought us back toLorder at OLASS, I - Ode. And we were both in Fatima house, but different rooms. You were in Fatima 1 while I was in Fatima 3.
Later in 1989, we ended up in the same room, when my bed space was given away to someone else because I returned to School two weeks late, due to the death of one of my uncle.
Sadly, we didn't cross path after we both finished at OLASS.
But, I was glad to know you were doing fine, because my mum and my twin brother met you severally. After joining Facebook, I search your name so many time without any luck. Before, I realized not everyone is on Social media.
My world was shattered the day Yetunde Ismail shared the safest news of the centuries. Immediately, I sent a whatApp message to my twin brother. He said, it couldn't be true. So I pasted you picture on my whatApp profile. He said that's not Lara. Lara is more skinny. I said you must have changed due to child bearing. Later, he asked where I got the information? And told him, Yetunde Ismail told me, and he said how did Yetunde know Lara, and said she was also an OLASS babe. There was silence from his end. Still wishing the story was untrue, I rang my mum. And she started praying with me and advice I take it easy!
I just couldn't bear the news! I rang my sister on Wednesday morning after a sleepless night! And she was dumb founded! She also remembered you. On Thursday after shedding enough tears, It came to mind to read Psalm 139 & Ecclesiastes chapters 3 for comfort. Yetunde Ismail rang me, we chatted and decided to dress in black in last respect of you, and pulled myself together and went Groceries shopping with my children. Since, I know I had to accept what I couldn't change.
Your death, was such a big lost to everyone who knew you! I pray that your gentle soul R.I.P. Amen! And may the good Lord, comfort your loving husband, Children, extended families, friends, well wisher and all OLASS babes. Amen!
I just can't understand why good people are the ones, that die young!
We love you, but God loves you most! Sleep on....Ore mi....Omolara. Olaide. Sonoiki. Amen!!!
