I don't really know what to say, maybe it's because I never expected to be writing a message like this at this point in time but nevertheless, you were a good friend and a gentle soul and I hope even as your exit is painful to hear you are happy in a better place with the Lord.

We were both trying to survive in LUTH when we were admitted. You struggled and you fought well. You believed everything was going to be better for good. We prayed and worshipped God together in the ward. God knows better. May your gentle soul Rest in Peace Claire. I’m still shocked. God will comfort your mom and also avenge her. Keep sleeping in the bosom of God Almighty.

GO REST ON HIGH...
"(O)oni of Lagos" as I fondly call her, was a rare gem I must say. She had this beautiful charm about her. The energy she lit the room with was awestruck in every way. I knew a little bit about how she fared health-wise, but she never wore that look at any time. She never ceased to give and show so much love and support to everyone she cared about in the most selfless way you could imagine. I'll miss her infectious smiles, her beautiful voice and her brilliant mind. I certainly missed our little fun moments together in classes, or at the St. Thomas Moore library (especially those up saving moments of overnights reading sessions you literally pulled my ears to), times we chatted/gisted, etc... Every memory of you and with you have been remarkably beautiful.
It's definitely hard to say goodbye, but I know God knows best and his plans for us, though painful in our human perceptions; are perfect in his grandmaster script.
We'll talk it over in the by-and-by, we'll ask the reason and He'll tell us why. Until then, we'll hide all our heartaches behind a smile and wait for a reason to smile until after a while... You'll ever remain indelible in my heart.
Go rest on high, till we meet again.

Oni-Omoregie, I really wish I could call you that again and see your face light up one more time. We were always paired together for group projects and assignments in Uni. I remember when I call you Oni-Omoregie, you would always smile and say you know you're the only one that calls me that, Michael? You were very friendly, always smiling. May your soul through the mercy of God rest in peace.

With utmost grief, I write this message. Claire has been a friend, colleague, coursemate with a heart full of gold and a lovely smile. Even though we weren't close, the news of your death came as a shock to me. Death, they say is inevitable and it has taken one of us, giving us the constant reminder that life is short. Your death will be a constant reminder that we should the ones we love tightly because we don't know who's next that death comes knocking on the door. My thoughts and prayers go to your family Claire. You'll be dearly missed, Goodbye till we meet again.

We have always attended the same church back at home (St. Francis), so I was surprised when I saw you in school at St. Thomas More. I simply went to ask you to confirm if you attended St. Francis Idimu then you smiled and said yes. We didn’t really speak but you were active in church and all. I can only pray that you are in a better place and may God give your family the strength to bear this loss. You were a calm girl and I pray that you shall rest in God’s bosom Amen.

Hey Claire, we weren't friends exactly but I remember the smile, radiant and pleasant energy you brought with you each time you came to dress the altar. You always had a smile on your face and one or two yabs for Joseph. I trust that you're at the heavenly father's feast beautifying the holy temple with the angels. Rest well, Claire.
