Her Life
February 16, 2016

The late Mrs Opeyemi Afolashade Olaobaju was born on the 4th of May, 1983 to Mr Bamidele Hassan and Mrs Morohunmubo Adesoye. She grew up in Ibadan with her maternal grandparents but later moved to Lagos to complete her primary and secondary school education. Late Mrs Opeyemi Olaobaju completed her SSCE (GCSE equivalent) with seven distinctions and a credit , and then studied for a Diploma in Computer Science at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She finished with a distinction on the programme and later gained admission to the same University of Lagos to study accountancy where she finished with a good second class upper division. She worked in the UK and was studying for her M.B.A and professional accountancy qualification.

Mrs Olaobaju married her University hearthrob on August 24th, 2006 and joined him in the UK the year after. She gave birth to Princess Olaobaju, her only child on 27th march 2008 and was a great and very dutiful mother as many will attest. Mrs Opeyemi Olaobaju served her Lord and saviour Jesus Christ in the  treasury department of Jesus House, RCCG, giving selflessly in the service of her God, and was always ready to serve with a charming smile.  Opeyemi was a very excellent wife and a pillar of support for her husband and daughter, both of whom she sacrificed for heavily.

Mrs Olaobaju was taken home to rest by God in HIS sovereignty on the 29th of January 2016, after enjoying unprecedented love and support from her church family and its kind leadership. The hand of God was very evident in her life's journey, getting divine help at all times and defying all proclamations of men, whilst affirming the supremacy of our God.  She rested in the Lord as a born again child of the living God.   Opeyemi will be greatly missed by all.
