Hard to believe it's been 4 years since our dad's passing. He lived his life well, accomplished so much in the face of adversity, and taught me so much. Aloha oe, rest in peace.

Dad, your message of life was never spoken, but clearly understood. Thank you for laying the foundation for all of us.

Mr. Owen Loui: My family and I are forever grateful for having you and your family as neighbors. Your daughter Jackie is one of my best friends... you can be very proud of the children you raised. You are missed.

Mr. Loui, you and your wife raised the most wonderful family and I was fortunate to be a neighbor across the street and play with Jackie and Elizabeth. While Jackie and I have kept in touch over a long time, I cherish her friendship. You can be very proud of the children you raised.

Mr. Loui: Your family were such great neighbors to my parents, brother and sister and me when we lived across the street in the late 50's. You and your wife raised your children to be adults to be proud of. Your love is carried on through your children. Always grateful to have known your family. Love, Carol Gamper

Hey Owen, I started to play at Alawai again about a month ago and I always think about you. I guess all I can say if you are there is how much I miss playing with you. I learned a lot about life, honesty, a lot of things. All good. You always had such a zest for life? How did you do it?
Someday I hope we meet again. I am not a son but you always treated me like family, Sometimes in my deepest thoughts I think you are watching Kathy and I, if so it would not surprise me one bit knowing you.
Someday.......

Hi Dad! Looking at all these recent and old photos of you and our family brings back so many memories of wonderful times spent together. There are numerous things I did not know about you until your burial service and eulogy. I now realize you had a wonderful, interesting, and fullfilling life for 40 years before becoming a husband and father to us. You really did do your best to raise us well and mold us into the adults we now are.  We will cherish every second we were able to share good food, conversation, and laughter with you.  Neal misses his one and only father-in-law and favorite golf partner!!!  You, Mom, and Tim will always be in my thoughts and heart--keep smiling Owen, Dad, Gung-Gung, Uncle, Brother!! We miss you so very much!!!

Dad made many sacrifices for the family. He went out of his way to give each of his 6 children an education and opportunities that he never had. He was a man of few words but when he spoke, you listened. He accomplished much in his lifetime and was fortunate to spend time with each of his 7 grandchildren. I will always be so grateful for all that he did for us and hope that I have instilled in my children and future grandchildren the same values of integrity, humility, generosity and perseverance. Dad, we love you and will keep your memories alive forever.

Thank you for teaching me the value of doing your best. Knowing how much you sacrificed to help out your parents and younger siblings, I'm grateful I had the opportunity to be close to you when you needed a helping hand.
