A unique daddy!
I received the unexpected news of your death with a great shock and deep sorrow in my heart. I find it difficult to believe that you are no more. Though I had looked forward to more years of our interaction with you, daddy. I can not question God since it pleased Him to call you unto eternal rest at this time. The last time i saw you was on the Valentines day of 14th of February 2016 on which you gave my kids and i chocolate biscuits as a val gift. We miss you daddy.
With 80 years under your belt, your mind was still as sharp as a razor even as you were ageing. You readily earned the respect of the people around you. Your influence, advice and friendship were sought after by many people. Oh! my father-in-law was a man of people, wisdom and truth. The first time i met you, you were was excited and full of joy, you had such a wonderful sense of humor. Your demise is a great loss to me, i will miss your warm company, phone calls and jokes. He was a caring, generous, and loving father-in-law, a second father to me, so much more than any daughter-in-law could ever hope for. Knowing him has been a honour and a blessing for me these past 14 years. His love for me is unquestionable. He is without doubt a very special man and loved by me and all. You've gone to be with the lord. You will forever be in my heart. In the days / years ahead without him, i will be remembering his sayings and recall the gifts he gave to us all: gifts of life, love, friendship, wisdom, language, history and happiness.
DAD, may the good Lord grant you eternal rest in his bossom and may He divinely console mummy, we children, Grand children and all others who mourn you .
Adieu, my father-in-law...a man of peace.
....Your dear daughter-in-law - Mrs Adeola Daniels
