Though something I miss on my personal upbringing, sharing moments of advice and wisdom talks with pa were my most cherished moments with him, he filled that gap in my life. At every least opportunity, he never failed from advising me and my siblings.
Proverbs & idioms like:
-You can't bath someone without him or her scrubbing his/her body to facilitate the process.
-You can't push a child to the top of a tree without him/her wanting to get to that top. This is because, if the person decides to sit back on your palms, you would get tired and drop him/her on the ground without him getting to that desired top.
These are the special ingredients Pah added to shape my educational achievements. Without such words for thoughts, I would likely have long abandoned school. I might not have achieved the best of life yet, but the little I have achieved in my own capacity is thanks to the pieces of advice from you Papah.
Pah, I failed to bring back a vehicle from UK to drive you around as I promised on my departure, but one day, that dream will come true. Though you won't be there to enter the car physically, I believe your spirit lives with us and it shall be there with the Angels to celebrate the day that dream shall come true. Equally, the pair of shoes you gave me on that same day I left for UK is unforgettable. It might have been just a pair of shoes but in my heart and throughout my life, it will remain a very kind gesture from the most loving and caring grandfather in the world.
