I have only known Pat for three years through our UCC association. From the start, Pat and I hit it off with shared histories of operating rooms, hospitals, and North Dakota. I was privileged early on to share a hug each time we met. It was me collecting my hug from her. Lately, we’ve been commiserating about how hard it is to live without hugs and how glad we will be to hug again. I will miss her so! She was a wonderful role model, full of kindness and concern, with a rascally wit, too. Rest In Peace, Pat, knowing the world is a better place because of you!
