Here’s some family history to remember Pat's wonderful influence on all of us. When Patricia Rust married John Healy, she married into the welcoming arms and hearts of the Hodgson family. John was one of two sons (George) of Elmina Genevieve Hodgson (Russell) Healy. Genevieve was the youngest of 10 children of Thomas Corrin Hodgson and Eliza (Clague) Hodgson, married in 1868, both immigrants from the Isle of Man, England. John Healy had 22 Hodgson cousins, including some names you know, such as Corrin, Muriel (Aunt Deed) and Harold “Bud” Nelson, my sister Susan’s and my Dad. I am so fortunate to have grown up in Madison with the Pat, John, Diane, Alison, Bennett, and Brian as part of the Hodgson clan. The speed of Pat was such a huge addition to making the family of Hodgson strong and somehow bigger than life. Ah, those family memories: huge, inclusive Thanksgiving dinners at the Healy’s; big tall swings; summers at the lake cabin; Pat and John’s travel adventures; and, of course all Pat’s hugs and kisses. I have added a few photos from an album titled, “Hodgsons: 3 Generations,” compiled in 1983 by Bud and Ann Nelson that chronicles that family through John’s generation. Genevieve and family reunions are included. Eric.
