Happy Father's Day to the greatest father I've known.  Paul, you are always missed but on special occasions it's that much harder not having you here with us.  We all love you so much.  I do hope you're celebrating today with Stacy.  Sending all my love....

My Dear Paul,

Today is your birthday so I'm sending you this card.  When I gave it to you a few years back, you said it was the greatest card you had ever received and you asked me to never lose this.  So I'm sending it up to you today.  I don't feel so lucky anymore and on that horrible day, a big piece of my heart went with you. No one can ever imagine how much I miss you...morning, noon, and night but especially at night. 

We will be celebrating your birthday today at the Chateau where you and Deb had your monthly dinners and a place where you and I hung out years ago.

Happy Birthday Paul.  I will love you forever and pray that we will meet again.

I miss you so much Paul.  There isn't a minute that goes by that you are not in my thoughts.  When I get home at night I feel you all around the house. 

I've been thinking of what a wonderful husband, father, step father, grandfather and great grandfather that you've been.  I can't imagine that there's been any better.  Why i love you so much.

But you were even more, a great son in law and brother in law.
 
When my Dad was sick and had to go to the hospital.  Although that was the last time he would go there, you were the one that brought him to Heywood, the hospital that you had not been to since you had resigned.  You loved my father and really stepped up and did something that was so difficult.  Why I love you so much. 


You introduced my sister to her now husband who have been married for years now.  My sister Linda has referred to that many times because it stills means so much to her.  Why I love you so much.


My sister June, when she was down and out, well you stepped up again and took care of her.  You got her the care that she needed to heal.  Why I love you so much.


       

.Happy Anniversary Honey..  31 years ago we were united as one. I love you.

A favorite place of ours...OOB.  Never forget all the good times we had there.  Remember the night I went up on stage and sang to you. The Beatles song "In My Life".  "But of all these friends and lovers, there is no one compares with you.  And these memories lose their meaning when I think of love as something new.  Though I know I'll never lose affection for people and things that went before.  I know I'll often stop and think about them.  In my life, I love you more."

The most beautiful movie we watched together.  I pray that somewhere in time you will come back to me.

We had many...we loved all the cruises especially the ones with all the family.  One of our favorite spots...South Beach!  We loved the sun and the fun.  We had the time of our lives together.  Paul, I love you and will always feel such a void until we meet again. 

Roberta's 50th bday party!  So much fun.  So much sadness.  We lost two great family members less than six months apart.  Miss you both, Dad and Roberta.  Forever in our hearts.
 

Unfortunately this is not a picture from this past Christmas, as Dad was in the hospital we thought on the road to recovery, so we thought there would be many more.  But this is from Christmas in 2015.  We will miss you Dad on this holiday, and every other, and every birthday, special occasion, celebration, as we could always count on you to be with us, even when you didn't always want to.  
 

One of my fondest memories with Paul are the times we played cribbage.  We played for years, usually girls against the boys. Most nights we would play four or five games, and generally split the wins (although my memory might not be perfect).

We would laugh and joke about pegging accuracy, or hand counts.  Discuss cars and politics and generally have a great time.  I cannot honestly remember a time we didn't break a gut laughing during the night.

We played around the middle of December and the girls (Melissa and Janet) won every game.  in fact they would probably say the skunked us, but I am not sure.
