Phyllis loved music. She cherished her guitars and knew more songs than anyone.
She and I loved to shop - we went far and wide for "must haves". One trip in NJ brought us over the mountain and down the main drag returning to her town. Michael H was in his car seat as we drove in the Isuzu. About 2 miles before the shopping area, a huge black form came out of the property on the left, and crossed the street in front of us (by about 60 yards. Passing directly into the property on the right, we just stopped the car and had a laugh. A 300 to 400 bear had passed in its own mission.
We encountered unique experiences together!

To Linda, Laura, Jeff and Phyllis' family,
My childhood would simply not have been the same without Phyllis as part of the fun and laughter of growing up. She was my best childhood friend. To her children, you had wonderful grandparents! Mrs. Huntington was kind and generous. I can still hear your grandfather calling your mother's name. We had such fun pretending we were horses and jumping over your grandfather's treasured roses. We even made horse tails out of vines that grew on the home property. We would often be asked to leave math class in the seventh grade because we giggled when our teacher kicked the garbage can. I smile at such memories now.
Phyllis was bright and capable of so many things. We kept in touch once in a while through our adult years. She would speak of her children with great pride. Although I have never met you, I am sure you have the best of her qualities. May you, too, bring giggles and fun to the world.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in the days ahead.
Phyllis, "Thanks for the memories." You are loved.
Your friend,
Nancy
