To my father:
For a good part of my adult life, you and I bumped heads. I found out later on that you were trying to aide me from making mistakes you did when you were my age during that timeframe. That became clearer to me when your friends told me of your lifestyle before you met mom. I am thankful that we reconciled the matter by the time I got married. I now understand some of the choices you made, good and bad. And if anything else, I appreciate the life lessons you gave me when we lived in Haiti as I was starting manhood. I will not emulate your enthusiasm for church, but understand now the reason you did. I am grateful that I saw you this year before your passing, and that you had a chance to met your grandson. I will make sure he knows who you are. Miss you dad. "Ok, Ok,Ok"
