Humphrey, and a number of stacks of hay for Jonathan Smith and w. F. Wilson. Mr. Percival lost also one hundred bushels of oats, and would have lost his barn and other building but for the timely aid of Mr. McClure's two boys, who prevented the fire from getting to them. Mr. Percival's wife received severe injuries while fighting the fire. She got smothered and fell and had to crawl out of the range of the fire. Mr. Percival had his shirt almost burned and received several burns on the (missing) and arm.
