Yesterday I heard of Farshid’s death. It saddens me deeply. Farshid was my friend, my tutor and my business support in Auckland, New Zealand. I met Farshid and Shala and their children at Playgroup in Takapuna, Auckland, in 1993. We chatted a lot and as we were starting a furniture business at that time, Farshid and Shala’s advice came handy. They offered to help and I was very grateful. To cut a long story short, over the years that followed Farshid was always there for me. He answered all my questions, no matter at what time of the day I called. I felt desperate over many accounting issues, but Farshid helped me out and supported me in the best way. I always thought of him as highly professional and knowledgeable. He had a lot of common sense and patience, and also the skill to explain complicated things with simple words.
Shala, please accept my deepest and heartfelt condolences. I hope you, Hanna and Sara have come to accept Farshid’s passing and that you are well. Warm regards, Ellen Siebel-Achenbach
