My dad. It wasn't until just after his death that I saw how much he sacrificed for me, his country as a Marine Corps Veteran, his family by being close by whenever we needed him.  He was always there behind the scenes, making the world a safer place for, not just his family, but people he never even met. He always went the extra mile to help others, to protect, to watch, and never got any credit for the sacrifices he made.  He was gone for so much of my life, protecting the country he loved so much. So that the people he loved could live here in safety and peace.  So noble and quiet. Such a wonderful sense of humor. This wasn't just a chapter of his life, but his whole life as an unacknowledged hero.  I love you, dad.
