His Life
April 29, 2011

A note to all,

I am in the process of filling in the life story. It's going to take time. If you have stories to tell please do so. And if you have any information you would like me to add to his life story, please contact me below and I will edit this section to include it.

Everything Ralph loved I will put in his gallery. It isn't just going to be photos of him because he would love to see his family in there as well, and look in to see how they are growing. He would want that.

Ps. I know the photos are not good quality, and I will see if I can scan them at walmart and replace them with the ones here. I had to take a photo of the photo then put it up on this site. Sorry. My printer, coppier scanner doesn't work well.

Ralph Jesse Geiger's life begins March 24-1937

April 27, 2011

Ralph Jesse Geiger was born March 24-1937 in a box car during the Depression. He was born to Ralph Geiger Sr. and Gertrude Nugent Geiger. The reason he was born in a box car was because his mom and dad couldn't pay the Dr. bill so a deal was made for her to clean the Dr's office until her due date. When she went into labor she couldn't make it there and found a box car to use. This is one of his favorite stories to tell.

The family moved to Mountain Home Idaho where Ralph attended school. He would later join the Air Force and serve 6 years, he served in the Korean war, his job was to work on airplanes, he then married Claudia Lucille Boyd on July 21, 1961. They had 3 children Bill, Lori, Andy Geiger. They moved to Grandview Idaho and raised their family, they then moved to Middleton Idaho. They wanted to be closer to their kids and grandchildren.

Ralph greatly enjoyed his family, flying in the airplane with his son Bill, and fishing in his boat, he really loved to go into the mountains to get firewood for their wood stove. He loved having a garden and it had to be planted just so, he would sit out on his chair and watch the garden grow in the evening with that glass of wine and only one or two. He also enjoyed working on things for people, he didn't believe in throwing something away just because it was old, it might be needed later. He loved to go camping. He loved western movies, He also loved his granchildren Ana Silvia, Jessica Geiger, Maxwell Ormsby, Stanley Ormsby, His great grandchildren, Bradley Silvia and Blake Ormsby.

His wife Claudia and daughter Lori provided much of the care both at the hospital and at home that made his passing so peaceful. Other helpers included Stanley Ormsby, Marlina Vallard, Amie Ormsby, as well as Hospice. Ralph passed away April 10/2011. in his home from Lung cancer. He had his family there until he passed away. His grandchildren were there until hours before he passed on. There were also other relatives there, his brothers-in-law Louis Arellano, Jeff Arelllano, a cousin Johnny Eggers. Ralph considered his in-laws to be as his own brothers and sisters.

Ralph is survived by by his wife Claudia, sons Bill Geiger and Andrew Geiger, daughter Lori Ormsby and her husband Tom. His sister Juanita Stewart, sisters-in-law, Dolores Good (Jerry) and Marlena Vallard (Tom) Brothers-in Law, Ron Boyd, Jeff Arelanno, Louis Arellano, Manuel Arellano (Brenda) Corey Arellano (Juanita) and Mario Arellano (Jennifer).

Ralph was very loved and will be greatly missed.
