I have many fond memories of Ralph. One in particular stands out in my mind now. Ralph was driving up Radcliffe Rd. and as he approached my car we stopped to talk. He said “I’m going to propose to Marie today”. It brings a smile to my face because I still remember his face at that moment. His big grin! Over time, we always got together as a family for Birthdays, Holidays, special events etc. We especially enjoyed getting together at our family shore house in Wildwood Crest. We had such a good time there and laughed a lot about mostly silly things. That’s how I remember Ralph. We continued the tradition that we knew growing up and spent time together with our kids at the shore in the early 90’s. I think back to when Aunt Marie lived there and how much she cared for Ralph.
Ralph and I always kidded around with each other. I looked at a text he sent me for my Birthday that said “Happy Birthday Marilyn –me and you will never be the same age. Just remember you are the elder”. Every year we would compare our ages in fun.
Our last time together was at Sandy’s 40th Birthday. At the party, many of us recall some special moments where we had a chance to talk to Ralph individually and catch up. It was such a nice day! I feel so blessed to have known him. He was a brother to me. God is taking care of him now.
