Mr. Morgan was born December 24, 1937 in Cleburne County, AL to the late William Jacob Morgan and Ila Reda Jane Fordham. He was a Baptist by faith.

He loved the outdoors. His favorite pastimes were fishing and camping. After a day by the water, he loved to cook a fish fry for his family and friends.

He also enjoyed tinkering with small engines. He often helped folks who had a weedeater or lawnmower that needed repairing.

Survivors include: son, Kearney Swann (Sandy) of Roanoke; step-children: Betty Ann Hill and Charles Ray Sears both of Graham; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Diane Dutton (Raymond) of South Carolina; two brothers: Steve Moley of Roopville and Pete Morgan of Opelika; and a number of other relatives and friends.
