Early life
Pa Raymond Oritsejolomi Ejekukor was born on the 8th of March 1925 at Sapele  in Ope local Government area of Delta state.
He was the first child and son of Pa Edeki Samuel  Ejekukor  of Igun Town in Ethiope East Local Government area of Delta State and only son of Madam Esther  Ajaolusanmara Missopu of Ode Warri.
His father was a staff of Nigerian Railway Cooperation, stationed at Offa in Kwara State, while his mother was a teacher at Luke's Primary School in Sapele. They were both Christians and worshiped in the Anglican Communion. So young Oritsejolomi  was brought up in the Christian Faith. He spent the first five years of his life at Sapele before joining his father at Offa in the year 1930.
Education
He started his elementary  education at St Mark's Elementary School Offa (1930-1935). His primary School, was at the then United Missionary Society Primary School at Jebba. (1935-1937). His Secondary School years were spent at Abeokuta Grammar School. (1941-1948).
Work Life
After leaving Secondary School, in the year 1949, he worked for nine months as a dispatch Clerk at the Nigeria Railway  Cooperation, Lagos. He later joined the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing ( Survey Department) as a Cartographic draftsman. He went to England for training to further perfect his Cartographic skills. (1961-1963). On returning to Nigeria, he resumed his duties and rose through the ranks to the post of the Assistant Technical  Officer. He later retired in 1984 as the Chief Technical Officer Cartography.
Home Front
Young Raymond, Oritsejolomi got married  to his heart throb, the late Miss Constance  Oghenerukewe Jereton-Mariere in the year 1954. They had met and courted  while they were both schooling at Abeokuta. Their marriage was blessed with many children, grandchildren and great grand children. Despite numerous  challenges, he remained tolerant and committed to their relationship. They lived together until she passed on two years ago at the age of 90years.
He lovingly welcomed and accommodated extended family members into their home. He treated everyone that came to their home with love, humility and outstanding hospitality. He did not spare the rod in training his children. He was strict and instilled discipline as they grew up.
He knew the value of education, so he made sure that his children and siblings were all educated.
He never discriminated between his children, his siblings and everyone around him, rather, he had a friendly, personal relationship with every single one of them including his grand children who kept him company in his last days. He was a friend to all (his children and their friends, his grandchildren and their friends, and to all who came to him for counsel).
Christian Life
Pa Raymond Oritsejolomi was born into a Christian family. His parents were Anglicans and he was raised as such. After marriage, he moved from Ebutemeta to live at Obele-Odan in the Surulere area of Lagos State. On getting there, he joined a house fellowship of Christians of the Anglican communion, located at Bassey Ogamba. 
This house fellowship later became the present Bishop Adelakun Howells Memorial Church. He was one of the pioneer members of the Young Christian Fellowship Society of the Church. 
Their motto was to proclaim the gospel of Christ, promote the growth of the Church and goodwill amongst worshipers. He was a committed and dedicated member of the Society. He however re-dedicated his life to Christ at the insistence of one of his daughters. He remained in the Anglican communion till death. At the time of his death, he was the oldest member in  the Church.
Hobbies
Pa Raymond Oritsejolomi loved Photography and Gardening. In his youthful years, his garden was the best tended in the neighbourhood. He always came first in gardening and flower competitions organised in his locality. 
He was a lover of nature and animals especially birds, a breeder of Rabbits for years at his home and would lovingly build their cages himself. He was  a strong believer in DIY (Do-it-yourself). He was involved in helping some of his children in the supervision of their houses and was never shy of getting his hands dirty.
He is Survived by eight children, several grandchildren and great grand children.
May the Lord shine the light of his countenance upon him and grant him Eternal Rest.
