Ms Johnston was born on September 9, 1962, the daughter of Reva Gayle Thacker Johnston and Bobby Gene Johnston. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Before the onset of her illness she was a Regional Manager for the Dollar General Stores. She was a talented singer and guitar player who loved entertaining others with her beautiful voice. In addition to her musical abilities she loved to crochet and make jewelry. She loved baking and making wonderful meals for her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla Johnston of Franklin, GA.; son Josh Johnston of Carrollton, GA.; mother, Reva Thacker Johnston of Franklin, GA., and Bobby Gene Johnston of Dahlonega, GA.; two sisters, Kim Freeman of Acworth, GA., and Paige Johnston of Dahlonega, GA.; three brothers, Bob Johnston of Acworth, GA., Tim Johnston also of Acworth, and Dennis Queen of Cartersville, GA.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Yolanda Johnston.
