Every time my second toe starts to go numb, I lay down on the floor and do what Ric taught me ... in 1992. I always think of him with such gratitude for his incredible skill -- I've been worked on by a lot of PTs over nearly 50 years, many of them good, but no one else who could teach me what I needed to know to turn debilitating chronic pain to occasional minor annoyance. He radically changed my life, and I will never, ever forget him. God Bless and a belated Bon Voyage, Ric!

Four short years -- seams like I still have so many times that I think "I need to ask Ric... I need to share with Ric..." You are still such an important part of our lives. Many, many great memories have you with us all the time. XO XO

One year and it seems as if no time has passed...we still think about you, talk about you, and laugh at your stories. The past year has not in any diminished your presence in our hearts. Love you! Always!

I was thinking of Ric just today and decided to find him on the Internet. I had worked with him briefly in Ballard, Washington, more than 20 years ago. He was a brilliant physical therapist, and inspired me to want to become a physician. I haven't met anyone like him since, and so want to express my gratitude for having known him. Sincerely, Elizabeth Liles, MD, MCR (Portland, OR)

One of the bests guys I ever knew. Rick will truly be missed and has created so many lasting memories. Thanks Rick for all that you have given! Thoughts and prayers are with the McDonald family.

Someone said friends are the family that we choose for ourselves and there could not have been a better "family" to me than Ric and Jan and the kids. How does one recount the importance of 30 years of friendship, laughter, and a few tears?

I will miss him each and every day - love-Patty Puppies

We always enjoyed Ric's stories about the Chargers and the things the players did....such as "turkey bowling"...and the jokes they played on each other. We will miss Ric and his stories. His love of Jan and his 3 kids was immeasurable!
