Mr. Bradfield was born Jan. 21, 1937, in Dayton,Ohio. Richard retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years as an E6, tech sergeant,
worked as chief jailer for eight years with the Chambers County Sheriff's Office and was head of security with Russell Corp. from 1991 to 2011.
Pallbearers were deputies from the Chambers County Sheriff's Department.

Mr. Bradfield was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva M. Bradfield; his father, Richard C. Bradfield; his sister, Nancy L. Roberts; and inlaws, James and JoElla Walters.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Walters Bradfield; a sister, Jennie (Robert) Williams of Fort White, Fla.; two sons, Richard (Cynthia) Bradfield
of Attalla, Ala., and Robert (Starla) Bradfield of Opelika; brothers-in-law, James (Nancy) Walters of Bartlett, Tenn., and Leonard (Shannon) Walters of
LaFayette; sisters-in-law, Beverly Olsen of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. and Lisa Washburn of LaFayette; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
