Ricky is a tremendous inspiration for me--he always maintained such a positive frame of mind. The unconditional love he demonstrated for his wife and sons was a priceless lesson for the rest of us fathers and husbands. Another wonderful trait of Ricky's was that despite being such an accomplished person, he was always so modest--like he never knew how great he was.

Ricky and I started at Lifescan on the same day over 10 years ago. We worked side by side for over 6 of those years. We also became good friends and spent time out of the office golfing, biking, talking sports and politics. I can't imagine not being able to shoot him an email about the latest in sports or politics. I miss my friend, and will always remember the times we shared.

I always looked forward to seeing or running into Ricky. He truly brightened my day every time I saw him. He had a great laugh and sense of humor. I respect and admire Ricky. He is as an example of what a Man, Father, Husband, and Family man should be. I will miss him.

Always offering a smile and a genuine "So, how are you?". And what a gentleman...always holding a door or offering his chair in a crowded room. Ricky was a person of true character. His memory will live on in our hearts and through his two darling boys whom he loved so much.
