Hi Dad,
I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed watching baseball with you. I remember you and I watching every pitch of the Arizona vs Yankees World Series. We spoke in such detail. Just as you kept your scorecard. Of course, a mechanical pencil only - only to attempt more detail.
I want to tell you that Alyssa has learned to keep score. Started at the age of 3 - wrote a backwards k and gave the scorecard back - she was done. But now, she is loves it and keeps score at every game.
I told her the first time you took me to a Cubs game against the Astros, she wanted me to take her to where we sat, I remembered.
In 2003, you said to doc, keep me alive so I can see the Cubs in the World Series. As you witnessed, they never made it. Although, you were always more concerned about winning the pennant.
Unfortunately, even days later you had passed. November 2nd, 2003.
Well, as you may know, they actually made it to the World Series.
And in game 7, they won. On November 2nd, 2016.
Poetic Justice.........
I miss you!
Please continue to watch over Maddy, Caitlyn and Alyssa.
Love always,
Ray
