There are so many things about Rik that I still can't seem to list all of them. He touched so many lives. There were several friends that couldn't get into this site so I will list a few with their comments. Most of these were young adults in their twenties but loved our visits once or twice a month. Miriam, she would never forget the mass of happy hours we all spent together. Tanja, She was like a daughter to Rik and she said it the best,"We were family." Jenny, She was so sad to hear that Rik had passed. Funny and nice, I believe our visits were always funny and nice. Teresa, She always called him Gran-Ricky. Rik was like a grandfather and the best. Michaela, Rik had played such a important part in her life and her childhood and how he had made her a better person today. I was the lucky one who had Rik for almost 25 years. He was a awesome husband, father (to my two Children) and Grandfather. He was always there for me during the good times and bad times. We took many wonderful vacations together but the best was taking the adventure and moving to Ecuador. He loved living in Ecuador and I am so happy that he got to have a few years of retirement there, just wished it would have been longer. I miss him every day!
