Robert Gene Ricketts "Giggle"

89 of Springfield passed away May 6, 2012.  He was born April 19, 1923 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Albert and Alberta (Ford) Ricketts.  Mr. Ricketts proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army, 101st Airborne, 17th Division, he was a member of the V.F.W. post 1031, the Eagles and the Union Club.  He was retired from the United States Postal Service, Survivors include four children: Fredrick R. (Maria) Ricketts, Montana,  Larry (Jeannie) Ricketts, California, Rebecca (Raymond) Castle, Springfield and Marcie (Shane) Lanter, West Jefferson, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  he was preceded in death by his lifetime companion, Constance Ricketts, a son Edward Ricketts, brothers Marvin and William Ricketts, a sister Midge Stephens and his parents. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until  8:00pm Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME  Funeral Services will be held 11: am Friday in the funeral home, Burial with Military Honors, will be in Newcommers Cemetery.
